Beauty

Posted on Nov 20th, 2006 by Katie : Motivator Katie
I know beauty is, supposedly, more than skin deep; but how do you know whether you're beautiful or not.  If there's no reason to believe it one way or the other why shouldn't I think I'm unpretty.  No one throws themself at my feet, no one, outside of my family, tells me I'm pretty, unless I'm on some sort of guilt trip.  Why should I believe I'm beautiful?  What is there to make me think I'm worth a second look?  I'm fine with not being beautiful, or I will make myself fine with not being beautiful... Life isn't about beauty, it's about the beauty of others.  The more beautiful others are, the more happiness I could feel inside-- right?  I mean I'm not staring at myself all day, I'm staring at others (don't get scared others).  So, if my surroundings are beautiful, what does it matter if I'm not?  If others want me to be beautiful, so to not distort the surroundings, they will have to help, right?
